What is left to translate when you are anglophone
Your GCE certificates, a bachelor’s from Buea, a birth certificate from Bamenda: already in English, nothing to do. What tends to remain is the French half of a Cameroonian file — a police certificate from a francophone court registry, an employment letter or payslips from a Douala employer, bank statements, a sponsor’s letter written in French.
And mixed documents: an English form with a stamp or a handwritten note in French, a transcript whose grading key exists in one language only. That part gets translated; leaving it out makes the translation incomplete.
Filing happens at a VFS Global centre, which receives the application without deciding it: what the centre does.
The statement is read before the document: it says who translated, when, and who stands behind it.
