The Chinese Government Scholarship uses a word to be taken seriously: notarized. It is not a turn of phrase but an extra step, with its own appointment and its own cost — and it does not happen at a translator’s desk, it happens at a notary’s. Here is what is ours, and what stays yours.
Partner translator named before we start. Firm price on WhatsApp.
Translate, then notarise: two signatures, two trades
CSC programmes require any document in a language other than Chinese or English to come with a notarized Chinese or English translation. A transcript already in English therefore goes through as it is: that is the first saving to make, and it is free.
For the rest, order matters. We translate and certify accuracy; the notary receives the act. Plan that appointment and its cost into your application calendar: CSC deadlines are not negotiable.
For English, our own translator translates and signs. For every other language the translation is made and certified by a partner translator for that language; we tell you who before we start.
The original stays with you; the translation travels.

Before you order
The word that counts is “notarized”. A notarized translation is not merely an accurate one: it is an act received by a notary. We translate and certify accuracy; the notarisation itself is done by a notary and remains your step. Allow for it in your schedule.

Frequently asked questions
My transcripts are in English — do I need a Chinese version?
No. For a CSC file, English is accepted as it is. Documents in French do need a notarized Chinese or English translation.
Can you notarise the translation?
No translator can: notarisation is a notary’s act. We hand you the translation and its statement of accuracy, and you take it to the notary. Tell us if that is what the university asks for and we will prepare the document accordingly.
Who translates into Chinese?
A partner translator for Chinese, named before we start. Verbatim receives, coordinates, checks and hands over at the Japoma office. Firm price on WhatsApp once we have seen the document.
The flat rates for French ↔ English are published on the rate card; for every other language the price is quoted on WhatsApp once we have seen the document, and it is firm. The eight document types we handle are listed on the official document translation page.
