TLS Contact Cameroon: filing a French visa application

From Cameroon, a French visa application is filled in online on France-Visas first, then filed at a TLS Contact centre: Douala, Yaoundé, or Garoua once a month. TLS Contact receives the file; the French consulate decides. Students follow a different route, set by Campus France.

The route, in order

  1. Check whether you need a visa, and which one

    The France-Visas wizard tells you, based on your nationality, your stay and its purpose.

  2. Fill in the application on France-Visas

    France-Visas is the official site for submitting and tracking an application. The embassy advises applying up to six months before departure.

  3. File it at a TLS Contact centre

    Douala, Yaoundé, and a temporary point in Garoua open once a month, according to TLS Contact.

  4. Track the application

    Tracking is on France-Visas. The decision belongs to the French consulate, not the centre.

Two special cases

Students. For a long-stay student visa you do not book TLS Contact freely: Campus France Cameroon allocates the appointment at the end of its procedure, and TLS Contact holds your originals so they can be checked. It is all on the Campus France Cameroon page.

Other countries. TLS Contact handles French visas here. The UK and Canada go through VFS Global.
