What determines the price of a certified translation in Cameroon

Five things set the figure: the type of document, the number of pages, how dense the text is, the language pair, and how fast you need it. Verbatim prices by flat rate per document type and confirms the exact amount from a photo — before payment, with nothing added afterwards.

A worked example, with our rates
A UK visa file with three documents in French: a birth certificate, a police certificate and an employment letter. At the flat rate, one by one, that is 30 000 FCFA. Together they make the Visa Pack, at 27 000 FCFA.
The same three documents issued in English would cost nothing for that file: UKVI reads them as they are. When a document does not need translating, I take it off the quote. The cheapest translation is still the one nobody needs.
Why the exact figure comes from a photo
Because the document is the only reliable basis for a price.
A photo of each page shows the real page count, the real density, the stamps that have to be translated and the layout that has to be rebuilt. From that, the quote carries the exact amount and the exact turnaround — not an estimate to be corrected later. The figure you accept is the figure you pay, whether you drop the original at Japoma or handle everything from Akwa, Bamenda or abroad.
The photo protects your schedule as much as your budget.
An illegible or cropped photo means a second round. One sharp, complete photo of each page — back included where it carries any mention — gets you a final figure in a single exchange.
A transcript entered as “one item” can turn out to be a booklet.
Frequently asked questions
Can the amount change after I have accepted the quote?
No. The quote Verbatim sends on WhatsApp is calculated on the real document, so the figure you accept is the figure you pay. There are no fees discovered mid-way and no surcharge added at delivery. The only thing that changes a quote is a change from your side — an extra page, or a document added to the file.
What if my file is urgent?
Write to us on WhatsApp with your deadline. An urgent file moves to the front of the queue; the turnaround is confirmed once we have seen the document, before any payment.
Is a more expensive translation automatically safer?
No — price alone proves nothing in either direction. What makes a certified translation safe is what it contains: a complete translation, stamps and marginal notes included, plus a statement of accuracy signed and stamped by the translator. Judge an offer by whether it commits to that in writing, not by where its price sits.
